Sheffield has fought long and hard not to be in the 'midlands', it is part of Yorkshire although I know northern purists draw the line a bit further up :)

When I lived in London, 'the north' started just the other side of the north circular.

Cheers
Martin

My US Airborne loadout

TM Thompson with CAW Deluxe Woodkit real sling.
TM Colt 1911 in repro leather shoulder holster
SOF M42 Jump Suit with old style jacket (issued look) and new style trousers (unissued look)
Bausch and Lomb Binoculars in matching case, with range finder on right eye. Dated 1944.
Repro large rigger pouches x2
Repro Waterbottle and mug
Repro Musette bag
WW2 Dated pistol belt (cant remember year)
1942 dated suspenders (brought on day £18 with only small repairs)
Newly made Corcoran WWII Jump Boots
Danish M1 Helmet with all correct fittings (except leather chin up which i have now ordered)
Luminous Helmet Disc (thankyou raffles)
Jeep Cap (worn under helmet for comfort)

Probs need to get a few nades, bulk out pockets, fit binoculars to webbing instead of letting it hang round neck. Have an entrenching tool but its the long spade with the handles and I dont like it. Will probs try to get the shorter version.

Any comments / suggestions? :good:

Also in the back ground on the far left you can see Dog Companys tent. Nice meeting you guys! :good:

Stu

Only thing i would recommend is to get a white T-shirt for a Guadalcanal impression.

I'd say that's looking pretty darn good, Animal. :good: The only obvious thing you're missing is a gasmask holder. Early war, up until about 41, when FJ were still actually jumping into action, they would have a cloth one. However, after this time, when they were used as ground troops, they would have been issued with the standard Wehrmacht tin. If you want to get one, I would suggest an original, which seem a bit sturdier than the repros, and can be picked up for just a few quid more.

Looking good :good:

You might want to slap some paint over the primer on your mess tin when you get a chance.

I'd also prioritize a bayonet & frog over e-tool but that's just me.

I have a repro gas mask tin and it's rubbish. As Andy says, for a few quid more you're better of with a 'riginal and all the patina that comes with it.
